Dear Colleagues, Friends, IPSO Members

Welcome to Ottawa Capital City of Canada for the 32nd IPSO Meeting!

Together with our local host in Ottawa Dr Ahmed Nasr – University Of Ottawa, Sharon Cox (Programme Co-ordinator) and the IPSO Executive have assembled what we hope for all of you will be a stimulating, invigorating and exciting IPSO 2023 Congress.

Highlights notably include the IPSO Educational Day pre congress sessions discussing solid tumours, new clinical and scientific advances, as well as reconstruction and palliation, the Daniel Hayes Surgical Symposium entitled ‘Minimizing long term sequelae in pediatric oncology surgery by performing reconstructive surgery’ and the ever-popular IPSO Symposium, ‘Meeting the surgical challenges of cancer care in the Adolescent and Young Adult’. The Best of IPSO Prize session and best poster session bring some cutting-edge research to the program while further notable papers are presented in the various Scientific free paper sessions.

The main program will feature a ‘Meet the Experts’ session on Biomedical engineering in oncology, a Keynote lecture on the impact of surgical long-term follow-up of children with solid tumours and we will discuss head and neck tumours with our oncology and radiotherapy colleagues in the IPSO SIOP PROS symposium.

The ‘IPSO difficult cases session traditionally brings forward lively and constructive discussions and we therefore warmly invite you to submit challenging interesting clinical scenarios to our IPSO Hon Secretary Pablo Lobos.

Do not forget and book early with your congress delegate registration for the ever-popular IPSO Gala dinner. We hope that you will enjoy IPSO 2023 whilst also networking with many new and old friends at the World’s No.1 Pediatric Surgery Oncology Event.

Everyone is welcome to attend IPSO!
We look forward to meeting with you in Ottawa 2023.
Very best wishes

Paul D. Losty, IPSO President
